Walled Garden Talks 2026

Our brilliant series of Walled Garden Talks are returning this September, so grab a brew and a buddy, and head over to the Bircham Centre Walled Garden to enjoy some fantastic FREE talks on the theme of “Finding Your Direction”.
Tuesday September 1st
Bee Keeper Tom Phillips will be giving a talk on ‘Queens, Swarms and Waggle-Dances: How bees make decisions to help the colony thrive’.
Tuesday September 8th
Ex-teacher and headmaster Jon Ford will be telling us about his interesting life and how he found direction through adversity.
Tuesday September 15th
Expert paper conservationist Helen Lindsay is giving a talk on ‘The Power of The “Real Thing”:  how museums, archives, and libraries help us understand where we’ve come from.
Tuesday September 22nd
Wonderful local artist Jessica Perry will be with us to talk about her artistic endeavours.
All of the talks start at 12 noon and last 20 minutes, with time for a Q&A sessions afterwards.  No need to book – just come along and enjoy.
