You’re Invited to Our Volunteer Evening!

Poster promoting volunteeringWho says doing good can make you feel good? Well, there is a growing body of evidence that supports the idea that helping others isn’t just about giving back, but gives you a boost too, whatever your age!

We all know life is busier and more stressful than ever and feel we can’t squeeze more into our hectic days. Yet, helping out in your community now and then, and showing a little kindness to others, can enrich your life too.

The Mental Health Foundation’s recent campaign – www.mentalhealth.org.uk –  focused on the power and importance of community: ‘We thrive when we have strong connections with other people and supportive communities that remind us that we are not alone.’

Volunteer Evening 29 May detailsReepham has many fantastic community groups that help to make the town such a great place to live, but the number of volunteers to keep these going is dwindling.  To keep Reepham a bustling, caring community, we desperately need more people to help out.

If you might have even the smallest amount of time now and again to help us at the Bircham Centre, why not come along to our Volunteer Evening on Thursday, 29 May from 7pm to 9pm.  You will hear from other volunteers, and have the chance to chat about the volunteer roles we need to fill over drinks and nibbles.  Please let us know if you will be joining us – you can message us via our Contact Us page.
