The holly tree in our front garden is sadly diseased and dying so it’s going to have to come out… We’ve been through the process to get permission to fell it and to grind out the stump. The paperwork is in place now so we’ve set the date: Tuesday 23 May.
Once it has been removed, we’ll be waiting until the work to the front of the roof is done, then we’ll be replacing it with a specimen tree in a pot – to ensure it doesn’t compromise the building foundations or interfere with drainage.
The tree is being donated by John Palmer in memory of his late wife, Brenda, a long time advocate of the Bircham Centre, past trustee, 200 Club administrator and one of the founding members of Reepham’s Knit and Natter group.
