The Bircham Centre Book Room
Just before the beginning of 2021 The Bircham Centre unveiled its new Book Room, which houses all the sale books, CDs and vinyl. In 1919 when Samuel Bircham gifted the building to the people of Reepham he stipulated that it should be used as a reading room. In the same spirit, we renovated the old kitchen and turned it into the Book Room.
Barry (one of our Trustees, pictured here) works extremely hard to keep the range of titles varied and the shelves stocked, and it's thanks to him that the new Book Room was able to open on time.
Thanks to your generous donations, you can buy a whole range of fiction and non-fiction books at a very reasonable price. We stock everything from classic novels in the gothic genre to modern cookery books, hardbacks and paperbacks, things you never thought you wanted to read but do. We also have a large range of children's books, including board books and baby books to books for older readers. Come and browse and see what treasures you can unearth.
